Say ‘yes’ to adventure

A day in the mountains, taking on a walk that challenges you will give you clarity of thought, new inspirational ideas and the confidence and determination to make them happen

Don’t be trapped by routine

Routine is safe, but it can also be a trap. It’s time to break free of the cycles, routines and beliefs that are keeping your thinking small, frustrating you and holding you back

Release your potential

Set your mind free in the mountains, giving it time and space to create, invent, envision and connect, leaving you recharged, excited and ready to take on the world.

What to Expect - The Plan and Route

The Start

We will meet in nearby Elterwater, at the Elterwater Cafe at 0915, ready to walk, where we’ll get to know each other and go through what to expect on the day.

We’ll head over to the walk start at Old Dungeon Ghyll, and the walk begins by entering my favourite mountain valley in England.

The Circle

Standing in the shadow of the trio of Langdale Pikes, we share stories of about our relationship with getting things done. What does your to-do list like? What's your best 'cram' story? Who is the most effective procrastinator?

The Great Unburdening

As we walk through the peaceful and verdant Great Langdale valley, we Just Let Go. We stop and take some time to release all of those jobs, tasks, chores, obligations and 'can you justs' that simply aren't getting done this week. We give ourselves permission to let them go until they're needed, and focus on what is important right now.

Climb Into Flow

As we put off having to tackle steep path out of the valley, following Rossett Gill, we look at why we struggle to get started on big tasks, and create a repeatable method, unique to you, to you into a flow state from a point of demotivation. Then we get into the climb!

We head deep into the mountains, with the Langdale Pikes towering above us, before climbing up and out, to Angle Tarn, a mountain lake nestled amongst some of the giant peaks of the Lake District.

The Cross Road of Commitment

We spend so much time stuck in a decision loop with lots of the things we think we need to get done. At this cross road, we stop to look at how purpose plays a role in how committed we are to our approach to work, as we also make the decision to commit to climbing to the top of Scafell Pike.

The Slog

Crossing the arduous boulder field near Broad Crag, we reflect on the 'messy middle' of change, where we lose our enthusiasm and motivation, and create a habit and routine programme for you that you can just press 'start' on when you aren't really feeling it.

On a clear day, Scafell Pike will be in our sights, and we will begin our final ascent up a steep and rocky path, to the highest point in England.

On our return, we will visit the Wainwright summit of Great End, before returning to Esk Hause, and then looping around to climb two other Wainwrigts - Esk Pike and Bowfell.

Fuiture Reflections

On the long descent back to the valley, we look at reframing productivity, from an obligation to get things done, to using it as a way to be kind to our future selves (hint: Future you will be glad you packed the walking poles!)

The Big Finish

Post-event, for anyone who wants to stay longer, we will head to a local pub for a well deserved drink and food (not included)
